A graduate of UC Berkeley, Jigar Thakarar spent a semester abroad in 10 countries and earned his bachelor's degree in business administration in 3 and a half years, a semester early. He began his career with Bain & Company, where he played an integral role in areas ranging from business organization design to forming strategic partnerships and completing acquisitions. Jigar Thakarar also began his involvement in media and entertainment at this time by working on client business development with Warner Brothers.
Throughout the following years, he established himself within the entertainment industry, moving from being an agent trainee at International Creative Management in Beverly Hills to serving as a development and marketing associate at MTV Networks. He was recruited to be an agent with Creative Artists Agency and later became the director of CBS Interactive, where he spearheaded digital productions for numerous platforms.
In 2010, Jigar Thakarar founded Limitless Ventures, LLC, as a boutique brokerage firm focused on booking contracts and obtaining sponsorship deals for celebrities and music artists. After running the agency for several years, he joined United Entertainment Group. At United, he worked his way up to become the vice president of talent, overseeing contracts and talent relationships for numerous well-known corporate clients. In 2020, he became the managing director of MusiCares, The Recording Academy, a role in which he leads the organization in forging partnerships and pursuing branding and marketing efforts.
